Our Students
*The STAR program has 23 students participating in the winter/spring 2007 session.
*STAR accepts students from age 3 - 60.
*Representing a wide range of disabilities, our students benefit greatly from their weekly classes.
*Being astride a horse at the walk, riders use the same muscles as they would walking
on their own, thereby improving muscle tone, mobility and physical strength.
*Games and activities that encourage students to interact with instructors, volunteers
and other students result in improved communication and social skills.
*Learning to master basic horsemanship skills is instrumental in enhancing
confidence and self esteem.
*Developing bonds with horses teaches respect for animals and encourages students
to be kind and responsible.
*The best thing about participating in STAR is while everyone has fun the skills learned
carry over to daily life activities.
*If you'd like to be placed on our waiting list please contact us for registration packets.
