THE STAR HORSES   Finding horses suitable for the STAR program is an ongoing challenge.  Not only must they have calm gentle temperaments they must be in good health. We currently have 4 wonderful horses: Sonny, 18 yr.old chestnut 15.1 H Quarter Horse gelding Whisle, 18 yr.old chestnut 13.2 H  Welch/Quarter Horse gelding Becky, 26 yr. old bay 14.2 1/2 H Morgan mare Rona, 20 yr. old chestnut 15.1 H Argentine Quarter Horse mare   All of the STAR horses are with the program due to the kindness and generosity of their owners, who loan them to us on a free lease basis. While a horse participates in the program STAR assumes responsibility of care. When a horse is ready to retire owners reclaim them.
