Volunteers are the backbone, heart and soul of STAR.
The program would not exist without dedicated people who devote their time to us.
Volunteering is not only a a way to help those less fortunate than us, it's fun!
Assisting in weekly lessons is great exercise as well as extremely rewarding.
Volunteers can take great pride in the progress students make, and the bonds formed between volunteers, students and horses are priceless.
No experience is required to volunteer, just watch this space to find out when the next training session is.
All volunteers are required to attend a 2 part training session every year.
The next volunteer training sessions will be:
Part 1: Wed. Sept. 7th @ 2:00 PM
OR
Sat. Sat. Sept. 10th @ 10:00 AM
Part 2: Wed. Sept Sept. 14th @ 2:00 PM
OR
Sat. Sept. 17th @ 10:00 AM
Those who don't wish to work directly with students and horses can help with planning fundraisers, special events and community outreach projects.
